PITTSBURGH - Pitt women’s basketball forward Asia Logan was selected to the Big East women’s basketball weekly honor roll, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Today’s awards are the first released of the season by the Big East.
Logan is averaging 20.7 points and 9.3 rebounds in a 2-1 start for the Panthers. The Baltimore, Md. native recorded career-bests of 36 points and 14 rebounds on Nov. 11 in a 76-74 win over William & Mary. Logan’s 36 point eruption established a new Petersen Events Center top mark, topping the previous high of 34 points from Shavonte Zellous on Jan. 4, 2008.
On the season, Logan is shooting 66.7 percent (22-of-33) from the floor. She connected on 85.7 percent of her attempts for 16 points in a 75-50 win versus Siena on Nov. 13.
Pitt returns to action on Tuesday, Nov. 20, hosting Wagner at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center. The Panthers begin a stretch of three-games over a six-day span, entertaining Brown on Nov. 24 (1 p.m.) and Longwood on Nov. 26 (7 p.m.).
