The Panthers host their sixth annual Hometown vs. Hunger game on Sunday.

PITTSBURGH – The second Agnus Berenato Show of the season will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13 in the lobby of the Petersen Events Center. The show, which begins at 7 p.m., can be heard live on WJAS (1320 AM) and also via Pitt Panthers All-Access.

Coach Berenato and host George Von Benko will update fans on the latest news surrounding Pitt women’s basketball. They will be joined by Pitt players on Thursday’s show.  The Panthers are next in action on Sunday, Dec. 16 when they host Rider at 1 p.m. The contest marks the sixth annual Hometown vs. Hunger game.

Donations of non-perishable goods for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will be accepted on Thursday evening at the coaches’ shows (Jamie Dixon Show will precede Coach Berenato’s at 6 p.m.). Fans will receive a 25 percent discount to the Panthers Team Store for their holiday donation.   

Fans can also bring a bag of nonperishable food items to the Petersen Events Center on Sunday, Dec. 16 and can gain admission to the game for just a $1. Season ticket holders will receive a Panthers Team Store coupon or $1 ticket for a guest.  Sunday’s collection will take place in the Main Lobby and Concourse B.

Sunday’s contest versus Rider is also Youth Day for area programs and Camper’s Day for the hundreds of youngsters who attended the Agnus Berenato camps this past summer.
