Andrea Konesky served as the lead-off competitor on the balance beam in her second year as an event specialist...scored a career-high 9.800 at Kent State for a third-place finish...averaged a 9.475 on the event...scored a 9.675 on two occasions-once against Missouri and Central Michigan and once at NC State for seventh place...competed on the balance beam in all but one meet.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006)
Konesky joined the Panthers' beam lineup for the final three meets of the season...led Pitt on the balance beam at the EAGL Championships with a 9.550...set a career-high 9.575 on the balance beam on March 18 against Penn State.
Konesky competed at the Level 10 regional championships in 2004 and 2005 and at the Level 9 national championships twice...won the Level 9 State championships...competed every year in the state championships from Levels 5 through 10...trained at Gymsport under the guidance of Ben Rovee and Kristin Bonaci, both former Panther gymnasts...on the high honor roll.
