The East Atlantic Gymnastics League named six Panthers to first and second all-conference teams.
Freshman Taylor Laymon picks up a first place finish for Pitt on the bars with a 9.875.
AS A JUNIOR (2014-15)
Named to the All-EAGL Team...Selected for the All-EAGL Scholastic Team...Tied career high on beam with a 9.875 to place third against Kentucky and Ball State...Tied career high on beam with a 9.875 to place second against UNC, WVU and Temple...Placed sixth against Penn State on beam with a score of 9.775...Placed fourth on beam at Michigan State with a 9.750...Set a personal best on beam against NC State with a score of 9.725 to place fourth...Notched a score of 9.650 on the beam against Kent State...Recorded a 9.600 on beam at New Hampshire...Tied for 10th place on beam after scoring 9.750 at a multi-team meet at George Washington.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2013-14)
All-EAGL 2nd team on beam...Won EAGL Specialist of the Week March 18...Captured three individual titles in beam, including a career-best score of 9.875 against Kent State and Centenary College...Placed 11th at the EAGL Championship on beam with a score of 9.825...Earned Second Team All-Tournament recognition at EAGL Championship on beam... Selected to the EAGL All-Academic Team...Named NACGC/W Scholastic All-American...Also selected to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13)
Placed 12th on beam at the NCAA Regionals with a score of 9.800...first team All-EAGL on the balance beam in just her rookie season...tied for second in the EAGL Championships on beam with a 9.850...EAGL All-Tournament First Team on beam...has scored a 9.850 five times this season to lead Pitt with a 9.759 average...All-EAGL Academic Team...Received NACGC/W Scholastic All-American.
Attended William G. Enloe High School in Raleigh, N.C....competed for the Raleigh School of Gymnastics...finished second on the beam and third on the floor at the 2012 level 10 North Carolina State Championships...won the beam title at the 2012 Regional 8 Regionals meet...took fourth on the floor at the Junior Olympic NIT...AP Scholar Award with Distinction...President's Award for Educational Excellence.
Kummerle is the daughter of Hank and Susan Kummerle...sister is Pamela...majoring in rehab sciences and pathokinesiology in rehab.
