Team Representative on Pitt's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for 2005-06
JUNIOR (2005): Lindsay Swan contributed to the Panthers competing in every regular season and post-season meet for the third year in a row...did some backup competition as a floor competitor as well as having strong performances on the uneven bars...set a career-high 9.675 at the EAGL Championships...placed second on the uneven bars with a 9.6 against New Hampshire...named to the EAGL All-Academic team.
SOPHOMORE (2004): Lindsay Swan competed in every meet for the second consecutive year, making 12 appearances on the uneven parallel bars...averaged 9.642 points per routine to rank among the team leaders...tied her career high with a 9.85 on bars in the win over Penn State on February 28.
FRESHMAN (2003): Swan competed in all 13 meets in her first year with the Panthers, concentrating on the uneven parallel bars...averaged 9.488 points on the bars to rank fourth on the team...tied the team's best score in the event with a 9.85 versus Michigan State on March 15...also competed on the floor exercise for the Panthers.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-time all-state performer and helped lead her teams to numerous gold and silver medals at the New York State High School Championships as well as the Empire State Games...led West Islip to a first-place finish at states in her junior and senior years after finishing in second place in her first two seasons...won the high school state title on bars in 2002 and placed third at nationals in the same event...was a member of the 2000 Empire State Games gold-medal team...was coached by Tammy Marshall at Infinity Gymnastics for nine years.
PERSONAL: Born April 21, 1984...daughter of Gary Swan...has one sister...an applied developmental psychology major.
