PITTSBURGH - Pitt's gymnastics team wrapped up competition on Saturday afternoon as three individuals took part in the NCAA Regional meet at State College, Pa.
"Katie and Maebelle did a really nice job," said head coach Debbie Yohman. "Katie finished her career at 100 percent. All season she hit all her routines. Maebelle has great experience for next year when we come back as a team."
O'Rourke concluded her career with a tie for 22nd on the beam with a 9.725, the sixth-highest score of the day. She also competed on the floor and tied for 35th with a 9.70, which was the 11th-best score.
Pacheco tied for 17th on the vault with a score of 9.825, which was the sixth-highest score of the day.
"Brit had a rough time today," continued Yohman. "It was touch and go - we had to train her very conservatively because of her Achilles injury. Kudos to her for pushing through. She had a good amount of grit today. Maybe her performance wasn't what she wanted it to be but her will was tremendous. She had a fall on beam, but I think maybe she was looking ahead."
Harris finished with the ninth-best score of the day on both the vault and bars. On the vault, she scored a 9.75 to tie for 37th overall. Harris tied for 29th overall on the bars with a 9.675. On beam, Harris suffered a fall to score a 9.025 for the 17th-best score of the day and on floor, she recorded a 9.125 for the 16th-best score. In the all-around, Harris recorded a 37.575 to complete her Pitt career.
