The Pitt gymnastics squad will open the 2012 season on Friday night at 7 p.m. at East Atlantic Gymnastics League foe, Maryland.
The Panthers return nine letterwinners from last year’s team, and are led by 26th-year head coach Debbie Yohman.
The Terrapins began their season last week with a third place finish at West Virginia. Penn State led all teams with a 195.775, while the Mountaineers took second with a 195.100 and Maryland finished the meet with a 194.225.
