Hey Panther fans!
A big thank you to everyone who came out to see us on Friday night as we competed in our season opener against Towson University. Having the opportunity to show the results of all our hard work in front of our fans is really fun for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better crowd!
It has been an exciting past few weeks in the gym getting ready for the start of season. Everyone has been working on perfecting their routines, and a lot of people have been stepping up in big ways to contribute to the team effort and our win against Towson Friday night. Congratulations to first time competitors Jacqueline Lucci, Kelly Burak, and Erika Reichert on their collegiate debuts, and shout-outs to vault and bars champion Brittney Harris, beam and floor champion Katie O’Rourke and floor co-champion Lindsay Offutt.
We’re back in the gym this week, eager to set daily goals and improve our performances each practice to do even better this Saturday at Michigan State. By focusing on details and gaining back tenths in routines, we’re getting closer to our team goals of being 2014 EAGL Champions and returning to NCAA Regionals in April!
Be sure to catch us back at the Fitzgerald Fieldhouse on January 25th at 1 PM as we compete against EAGL opponent UNH!
Hail to Pitt!
