PITTSBURGH - The Pitt gymnastics team continues the 2007-08 season in Durham, N.H. with its EAGL conference opener against New Hampshire at 7 p.m. in Lundholm Gym on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Last week the Panthers traveled for their first road meet in East Lasing, Mich., where the Panthers fell short of Michigan State, 193.600-190.700.

Sophomore Sarah Thompson (Shokan, N.Y./Onteora) tied for fifth place on bars and posted a team high score of 9.775 on beam to capture third. Junior Alix Croop (Allentown, Pa./Bridgeway Academy) placed sixth on both bars and floor.

2007 EAGL vault champion Dani Bryan (Germantown, Md./Northwest) split the top spot on vault with a score of 9.850 while last week's EAGL Rookie of the Week Molly Moyer (Telford, Pa./Homeschooled) took a share of second place on floor.

The Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season last weekend, dropping their record to 3-1 overall. Last season, the Panthers swept the Wildcats in all three of their meetings.
