PITTSBURGH - The Pitt gymnastics team opened its EAGL schedule tonight in Durham, N.H., against New Hampshire. Brigham Young University was also involved in the competition. The Panthers (0-4, 0-1 EAGL) posted multiple top-five event finishes, but couldn't get past the Wildcats and fell by a score of 192.400-190.075.

Freshman Molly Moyer (Telford, Pa./Homeschooled) continued her impressive string of performances on floor by once again leading Pitt in the event. She tied for first place with a score of 9.625. Moyer also registered Pitt's highest mark on beam with a 9.600, which was good enough for sixth-place.

Dani Bryan (Germantown, Md./Northwest) claimed a tie for third in the vault competition with a mark of 9.725. Shannon Vafiadou (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) finished in fifth with a score of 9.700. Vafiadou was also the night's only all-around competitor.

On bars, Samantha DeBone (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) led Pitt with a fourth-place score of 9.650 and Alix Croop (Allentown, Pa./Bridgeway Academy) grabbed a tie for fifth with a 9.625.

Pitt returns home to the Fitzgerald Field House on Friday, Feb. 1, when they host Rutgers at 7 p.m.
