COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Pitt senior co-captain Andrea Arlotta has been named the EAGL Conference's Specialist of the Week, it was announced today. Arlotta has earned league honors for the third time in her career after leading the Panthers to a first-place finish over New Hampshire and Air Force last weekend.

Arlotta (Cincinnati, Ohio/Northwest) picked up two event titles in the tri-meet, winning the uneven bars with a 9.800 and the floor exercise with a 9.825. Her only second-place finish was to teammate Dani Bryan on the vault where she scored a 9.800. Arlotta recorded conference top-10 scores on all three events.

This season, Arlotta has led the Panthers to a 3-2 overall record and a 2-1 EAGL record. She holds a 9.725 average on the vault and a 9.775 average on the uneven bars. Arlotta currently is tied for 57th in the NCAA on the uneven bars.

The Panthers will continue league competition this weekend when they travel to Rutgers. Pitt will take on the Scarlet Knights, Yale and SUNY Brockport at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 3.
