Hey Pitt Gymnastics Fans!
Thank you to all of the Panther fans that came out and supported us as we competed against the UNH Wildcats Saturday afternoon. It felt great to be competing in front of our home crowd again after capturing an on the road win against No. 25 Michigan State last weekend.
It was a great week in the gym preparing for our win against UNH. Everyone has set goals for themselves on each event and is paying attention to the details of their routines at this point in the season. Congratulations to senior Brittney Harris in returning to the all-around competition against UNH for the first time since her freshman year, scoring a 38.900. A few more shout-outs to sophomore vault champion Maebelle Pacheco, who scored her career-best 9.850, and floor champion sophomore Lindsay Offutt, scoring a 9.875.
The team is back in the gym this week ready to set goals, pay attention to the details, and gain back any half tenths or tenths on each routine as we get ready for our on-the-road competition against the UNC Tarheels this Friday at 7 p.m. The hard work that the team put in during preseason is giving us all of the right results. Each successful day is moving us closer to our team goals of winning the 2014 EAGL Championships and returning to the NCAA Regionals.
Make sure to come support your Pitt Panthers when we return to the Fitzgerald Field House on February 21st at 7 p.m. as we compete against another EAGL conference team -- NC State!
