PITTSBURGH - Hey Pitt Gymnastics Fans!
During an exciting weekend in the Fitzgerald Field House, the Pitt Panthers captured the first home win giving Pitt a 3-3 record. The atmosphere of the team was filled with excitement as the Panthers competed with consistency on all four events. We achieved the goals that the team and coaches came up with the previous week. The competitiveness of each individual on the team this year contributed to the highest team score recorded in two years.
Knowing that we as a team can achieve the goals we put our minds to, we are setting higher and more detailed goals each week. While keeping our consistency flowing in the gym, we are also focusing on the little things that can add up to an even better team score. Everyone is staying true to finding that little bit of detail they can improve upon on each of the events they compete, resulting in a positive outcome in their performance.
The all-arounders on the team include myself and another fellow freshman Haley Sedgewick. We feel the pressure it brings in competing on all four events, but the excitement for the opportunity we have been given to help the team on every event far outweighs the pressure. We are proud to be part of this amazing team and can only look to forward to what the rest of this season has to bring for the Panthers.
Only Big Dreams! Hail to Pitt!
