Pitt’s gymnastics squad will host a dual meet with Bowling Green on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House with former Panther gymnasts in attendance will be honored.
Last weekend at Michigan State the Panthers set season team highs on both the vault (48.825) and the bars (48.675) and concluded the meet with a 193.475 team score. Six individual career-highs were set, all on the vault or bars.
“We’re looking forward to another exciting meet,” said head coach Debbie Yohman. “The team every week gets back in the gym, ready to move on to our next best performance. We looked ready every day this week to make each little improvement we have talked about. Bowling Green is much improved and having a very good year so once again we find ourselves in a good matchup and close race. Every 10th will count towards the final results!”
Pitt enters the weekend with a 3-4 record overall and 2-2 in EAGL action. Bowling Green sits at 1-8 overall and is 0-3 in the Mid-America Conference. Live scoring and a web broadcast during the meet can be found on www.PittsburghPanthers.com.
