PITTSBURGH - Pitt freshman Haley Bodenheimer earned her third East Atlantic Gymnastics League Rookie of the Week honor on Tuesday, due to her outstanding performance against George Washington last weekend.
The rookie scored an impressive 39.200 in the all-around, setting career-high scores in the all-around, on the vault (9.850) and on the bars (9.825). Additionally, Bodenheimer scored a 9.800 on the beam and a 9.725 on the floor.
Bodenheimer's scores in the all-around and vault were good enough for first in the meet, while she finished second on both the bars and the beam and sixth on the floor with the fourth-best score of the day.
Pitt has now claimed four EAGL Rookie of the Week awards this season as Bodenheimer won on Jan. 31, Feb. 7 and March 6 while Haley Sedgewick won the award on Feb. 21.
Pitt returns to action on Sunday, March 11 at 6 p.m. when the Panthers host in-state rival Penn State at Fitzgerald Field House.
