Pitt gymnastics hosts its annual Senior Night meet on Saturday at 7 p.m. when they welcome 25th-ranked Kent State and Centenary at Fitzgerald Field House. Seniors Brittney Harris, Maya Ketner, Kori Macdonald and Katie O’Rourke will be honored.
“This is the last regular season meet of the year – wow has it gone fast,” said head coach Debbie Yohman. “This team has a characteristic not many of other gymnastics teams have had – consistency. The scores and performances have built step-by-step and consistently throughout the season — no huge swings, or big losses. Only the great high we’re going for tomorrow – why not?!! Senior night is always a fun time for gymnastics, kind of an opportunity to have some fun, reward yourself for the things that were well done, and go out with a spectacular performance. That’s the goal for the entire team, and our expectation is to use this last tri meet as a tune-up for EAGL. Hail to Pitt!”
The Panthers will be wrapping up the home and regular season with the non-conference tri meet prior to heading to East Atlantic Gymnastics Championships on March 22 at New Hampshire.
