The Pitt gymnastics squad rounds out the regular season with a trip to Ball State on Thursday night. The Panthers and Cardinals will meet at 7 p.m. at Irving Gym in Muncie, Ind.
“This is our last regular season meet,” head coach Debbie Yohman said. “For the past two weeks we’ve done an excellent job with our meet goals, not we have one more opportunity. We’re preparing for EAGLs and we want to go 24 for 24 and go for a score of 196. We want to be a team with few words and lots of action.”
The Panthers set their season-high score last week against No. 12 Penn State with a 195.075. On three separate events they hit their season best team scores. Pitt was rewarded for its efforts with senior Alicia Talucci being named the EAGL Specialist of the Week and freshman Haley Bodenheimer winning her fourth EAGL Rookie of the Week honor.
Pitt will host the EAGL Championships on March 24 at 2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House on Pitt’s campus. For ticket information, contact the Panthers Ticket Office at 412-648-PITT (7488).
