The Pitt gymnastics team will compete at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championship on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Carmichael Arena on the campus of the University of North Carolina.
"It’s all over but the competing now,” said head coach Debbie Yohman. “All the training, hard work, hurting, passion, inspiration — it all comes down to this one day in March! This team couldn't be any more prepared. We started off the week by hitting 48-of-48 routines, now we're rested and ready to go. We got the last minute nerves out in the practice session today and we can't wait to compete with this group!"
The Panthers enter the meet with high hopes as they have concluded a strong 2013 regular season. Pitt has recorded two of the top 10 scores in school history this year and are looking to extend the season with a solid score and an invitation to an NCAA Regional.
The EAGL Championship meet can be viewed online beginning at 2 p.m. through a live web stream or live scoring.
