As a freshman, Hogan completed the 2011-12 season with a 3.94 GPA, Macdonald, a sophomore, recorded a 3.72 GPA in bioengineering, Riech concluded her sophomore year with a 3.52 GPA and Taylor's 3.60 GPA is in rehab science. Taylor, a graduating senior, is a four-time honoree.
As a team, Pitt finished second among East Atlantic Gymnastics League schools in team grade point average with a 3.2427. UNC led all league schools (3.4464).
Gymnasts, as a whole, have been superior in the classroom as 60 gymnasts from 67 reporting schools recorded a 4.0 GPA while 471 gymnasts earned a 3.5 GPA or better.
