CAREER: With only her senior season remaining, Ashley Cuba has already had one of the most prolific careers in the history of the Pitt women's soccer program. Last season she became the program's all-time goals leader (21) and moved into second place in points (46). Her conference awards include being named to the 2009 All-Big East Rookie Team and the 2011 All-Big East Third Team. She has led the team in both goals and points in each of her three seasons at Pitt.
2011: Named to the All-Big East Third Team...set a program record with her 20th career goal in the Panthers' 6-1 win over St. John's (Oct. 9)...selected to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll (Oct. 10)...appeared in all 19 games, including 17 starts...led Panthers in most offensive categories, including goals (8), points (16), shots on goal (21) and shots on goal percentage (.447)..recorded two multi-goal games, against Colorado College (Sept. 2) and St. John's (Oct. 9)...scored the game-winning goal in each of the team's two wins...named a Big East Academic All-Star.
2010: Scored a team-high six goals and led the team with 12 points...tied the Pitt record for goals in a game when she opened the season with a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Buffalo (Aug. 20)...named to Big East Weekly Honor Roll on August 24...started 16 games while playing in all 20...attempted 49 shots and fired a team-high 22 shots-on-goal...added goals against Kent State (Sept. 12), Cincinnati (Oct. 3) and Villanova (Oct. 17).
2009: Became only the third player in school history to earn Big East All-Rookie Team honors...tied for third in school history in goals scored in a season (seven), and concluded year ranked fourth place in season points (18)...saw action in all 18 games as a freshman...made nine starts...accumulated 1118 minutes of playing time on year...led team with seven goals, four assists and 18 points...fired 46 shots on year...scored a team leading five game-winning goals...scored game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Buffalo (Aug. 21)...scored game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Xavier (Sept. 6)...added a goal in 2-1 loss to Penn (Sept. 13)...tallied game-winning goal in 2-1 win over DePaul (Oct. 2)...scored a career-high tying two goals in 2-1 win over Ohio State (Aug. 30)...scored a career-high tying two goals and had an assist in 4-0 win over St. Bonaventure (Sept. 20).
HIGH SCHOOL: Enrolled at Pitt for the Spring 2009 semester enabling her to participate in spring training...chose to become an early graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in 2008...named an ESPN All-America Selection in 2009...two-time NSCAA All-American (2007 and 2008)...nominated for the Gatorade Player of the Year for women's soccer in 2008...selected as ESPN's National Player of the Week...three-time Adidas U.S. All-Regional Team member (2006-08)...selected as Ohio's Co-Player of the year in 2008 and was the runner-up for the same title in 2007...named the Ohio Division 2 Player of the Year in 2008...featured as Ohio High School Magazine's Player of the Year for both 2008 and 2009...three-time District Player of the Year (2006-08)...three-time member of the All-Ohio First Team, All-District First Team, All-County First Team and All-SVC First Team (2006-08)...led Cardinal Mooney to three district titles and regional final appearances (2006-08)...four-year varsity letterwinner who scored 87 goals and 65 assists (excluding tournaments)...member of the Super-Y/CASA State Team for five years (2005-09) where she led her team to the State Championship in 2007 and 2008...member of the 2007 Area All Star Team who played against the nationally ranked Notre Dame women's soccer team...featured three-times in ESPN's Rise Magazine as an All-Area Selection in both the 2006 and 2008 Jan./Feb. issue, and the "Got Game" section of the 2007 Sept.
