BOULDER, Colo.-- The Pitt women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 loss to Denver Friday in Boulder Colo. The loss moves the Panthers to 2-3-1 on the year while the Pioneers improve to 2-3-1. The contest was the first of two Colorado Invitational contests at the University of Colorado.

The Panthers defended well and headed into the second half tied with the Pioneers 0-0. Although they had a few good chances they were not able to finish.

Denver's two goals were scored in the second half by Lleane Grimditch.

"We defended well and created chances but once again we just weren't able to finish," head coach Sue-Moy Chin said. "We had some chances but we didn't take advantage of them. We need to do a better job of finishing our chances. We will regroup and be ready to play again on Sunday.

The Panthers continue play on Sunday, September 18th when they take on Colorado at 12:00 p.m.
