SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The Pitt women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Syracuse Thursday evening at the SU Soccer Facility.

Pitt is now 0-2-0 in Big East play and 3-7-0 overall. Syracuse improves to 1-0-1 in the Big East, 4-3-2 overall.

 

The game remained scoreless throughout the first 73 minutes until Syracuse’s Taylor Chamberlain scored on an assist from Amanda Morris.

 


 

 

Pitt outshot Syracuse 8-7 in the game and put six shots on the Orange goal. Pitt’s Morie Kephart made four saves while SU’s Elizabeth Bennett-Hattan finished with six.

 

Pitt is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 28 when it hosts St. John’s at Founders Field. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
