PITTSBURGH-The women's soccer team lost its third game in five attempts against top 25 teams in a 3-0 loss to No. 15 Connecticut on Fri., Oct. 19.

The Panthers were outshot, 14-1, in the first half and 24-7 for the game. UConn scored its first goal at the 36:14 mark when Kristen Graczyk's shot deflected off of a Panther defender past Rachel Brown (Burnley, England/St. Christopher's/Alabama). Almost 17 minutes into the second half, the 15th-ranked Huskies made it 2-0 on a goal by Zahra Jalalian. Abby Shepherd picked up an assist on Jalalian's goal and the Huskies added an insurance goal at 85:14 when Alexa Borisjuk beat Brown with a blast.

Lauren Sciocchetti (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) and Annette Agredano (Tucson, Ariz./Tucson High Magnet) led the Panthers with two shots apiece in the loss, while Sarah Popper had a game-high seven shots for UConn. Brown made five saves in the defeat.
