Quoting Miller: “Shaina is one of three players joining our team this spring. She is a quick, athletic attacking player with an incredible work rate and technical ability. She has the versatility to play both striker and midfielder and will give us good depth in both lines.”

 

High School: Graduated in December, 2013 from Chaparral High School in Parker, Colo. where she lettered three years of varsity soccer for coach Bri Young…Did not play her senior soccer season due to early graduation…Named a First Team All 5A Continental League as a junior and two-time honorable mention selection as a freshman and sophomore…Named team captain and offensive MVP after scoring six goals and adding seven assists for the Wolverines as a junior…Played four years with Real Colorado, a national ECNL Team coached by Lorne Donaldson and Jared Spires…Ranked second on Real Colorado in scoring with seven goals and six assists and guided the team to a second place ECNL finish in the Under 17 Midwest Conference in Heartland Division in 2013…Also, RC advanced to the ECNL Playoff Championship bracket…Led team in scoring with 14 goals and one assist in 2011-12…Helped lead RC to the Colorado Cup championship, a Region IV Championship semifinalist finish in Boise, Idaho and the Arsenal Cup finals in Fort Collins, Colo. in 2011…Team advanced to the semifinals of the Colorado State Cup in Denver in 2010…Won several 3v3 Kick It championships…Ranked the state of Colorado’s No. 25 recruit.

Ashouri on September 12, 1996…Daughter of Marc and Yelena Ashouri…Has two sisters Layla and Ella and a brother David…Sister Layla plays soccer at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and for the pro-am Colorado Rapids women’s soccer team…Father played soccer at Metro State University and at the semipro level…Holds brown belt in martial arts…Has spent time coaching youth at the Under 4-6 girls and Under-4 boys teams…Intends to major in sports broadcasting/communications.
