GETTING TO KNOW Alex Charlebois
This is the third in a series on the Pitt women's soccer team. Each player during the season will be featured.
Forward Alex Charlebois is in her second season at Pitt. The London, Ontario native led Pitt in scoring last season with five goals. She also added two assists for 12 points. She scored a career-high two goals against Connecticut on Oct. 11, 2012. We asked her several personal questions:
What is the best thing about Pitt?
Almost running into Channing Tatum while he was filming his next movie, and the Cathedral, it's like a mini Hogwarts.
Which teammate of yours is the best dancer?
Jackie with the pre-game Dougie and Bernie!
What is your major and why did you choose it?
My major is business. I chose it because I think it best suits my personality for future careers. I already have an idea of what I want to do and graduating with a business degree will help secure that.
If you could play another sport besides soccer which would it be? Why?
Ski racing. It is my favorite sport. I ski raced from when I was four years old up until grade ten in high school. I had to choose between skiing and soccer and went with soccer. I definitely miss it.
How many siblings do you have? Younger or older? Do they play soccer, too?
One younger sister, Breanna, who plays soccer at Ohio University.
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
"Lady Marmalade" or like my friends would say "Barbie Girl."
What jersey number do you wear and why?
Three! New school, new number! My mom was always three so I decided to retire number 77 when I came to Pitt.
Favorite sports figure? Why?
Bode Miller because he is known for his resilience and he is an awesome person!
