ORLANDO, Fla.- Redshirt senior forward Netta Agredano (Tucson, Ariz./Tucson Magnet) scored the Panthers lone goal in the 11th minute as the University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision Saturday to University of Central Florida. This contest was the first action for both schools. Pittsburgh’s lone goal in the match came at the 10:34 mark when Agradano scored on a chip shot from the left far side after receiving a pass from Sara Gutting (Erie, Pa./McDowell). The ball went past UCF’s goalkeeper Julie Snaman on the Panthers' first shot of the game. UCF evened the score at 1-1 when sophomore Courtney Baines scored on a shot after receiving a pass from Joanna Black. The second goal for UCF came on a header on a corner kick by Shannon Wing at the 68:14 mark. UCF scored its final goal in the game's 80th minute on a penalty kick by Patty MacDowell. The Panthers are 1-1 all-time versus the Golden Knights. Their first meeting was a 1-0 overtime win during the 1999 season. Pittsburgh is next in action Monday versus Jacksonville at Central Florida.
