    JAMAICA, N.Y.- Sophomore Jennifer DeLaHoz (Amawalk, N.Y./Somers) registers her third goal of the season as the University of Pittsburgh tied St. John’s University 1-1 Friday evening.The Panthers advance to 2-3-1, while the Red Storm advance to 2-5-1.

     

    The Red Storm’s Kaitlin Schmidt scored off of her own rebound in the 23rd minute to give St. John’s the lead.

     

    The Panthers were on the board during in the 61st minute when Kristina Francois (Springfield, Va./Paul VI) was fouled in the box by St. John’s Claudia Rubino. DeLaHoz nailed the penalty kick to tie the game 1-1. 

     

    Panther goalkeeper Jamie Pelusi (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) registered five saves on the day. Redshirt senior forward Netta Agredano did not make the trip to New York due to a minor knee injury.

     

    The Panthers are next in action Sunday at 1 p.m. when they visit Hofstra.
