PITTSBURGH–Erin Hills (Burke, Va./James A. Robinson Secondary) registers her third goal of the season as the University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer team drops a hard fought, physical contest to Seton Hall University 2-1 Friday night at Founders Field.  The Panthers drop to 4-7-1(1-1-0) while the Pirates advance to 4-7-1 (1-2-0). 

The Panthers had the edge early in the game when Hills scored the first goal of the contest at the 36:08 mark on a direct kick that buzzed past Pirate goalkeeper Buffy Wojiciehowski.  Aubrey Ellezy scored late in the second half for the Pirates when she took a pass from Rita Massot and booted the ball into the center of the net.  Big East Co-Rookie of the Week, Rita Massot, scored the game winning goal on an open net shot in the 88^th minute of play.

Even though the Panthers out shot Seton Hall 14-10, Wojiciehowski was able to keep the Panther offense in check.

The Panthers are next in action Sunday when the face Rutgers at Founders Field.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
