Pathers lose to Seton Hall, Connecticut.

The Pittsburgh women's soccer team suffered two Big East losses on the road this weekend.

The Panthers traveled to Seton Hall on Oct. 16 and were defeated by the Pirates, 4-1. Sophomore Charity Kriley (Boise, Idaho/Meridian) scored the lone goal for Pittsburgh with five seconds remaining in the first half. Charity McClure (Asheville, N.C./Asheville) was credited with the assist. Seton Hall's Kelly Smith scored all four goals for the Pirates. Three were scored on breakaways.

Pittsburgh then took on fourth-ranked Connecticut on Oct. 18 and were shutout, 6-0. The Panthers did not record a shot on the day. The Huskies had 33 shots on goal. Connecticut's six goals were scored by six different players.

Pittsburgh falls to 7-8 overall and 5-5 in the Big East. The Panthers return to non-conference action on Thursday, Oct. 22 when they travel to nearby Robert Morris. Game time is 4 p.m. They then visit Old Dominion on Sunday, Oct. 25.
