2008: Cory Berliner set the single-season wins and rookie wins record with her 16th victory of the year over Youngstown State on April 29...became the first freshman to post more than 11 wins in her rookie season...named Big East Pitcher of the Week on February 18th as well as making the Big East honor roll on March 10th...ranks second all-time on Pitt's single-season list for saves, win percentage and shutouts...is fourth in single-season strikeouts...made her debut for the Panthers in the FIU Tournament against Texas-Arlington, pitching all seven innings and allowing just one run off nine hits...pitched a two-hitter, as the Panthers upset No. 25 Missouri in game three of the FIU Tournament...recorded her first save of the season in the FIU contest when she entered the game in the bottom of the seventh striking out the final batter with two runners on base...fanned 10 batters against Connecticut.
