2011: Niki Cognigni started all 51 games at short stop...topped her previous career highs in batting average (.265), hits (39), home runs (3), and stolen bases (8)...collected 15 RBI...scored a run against St. Bonaventure (March 11) when she stole home during a successful double steal attempt by the Panthers...went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs against Seton Hall (March 27)...blasted a three-run homer against Connecticut (April 16)...collected five assists on three separate occasions - Jacksonville (February 26), Georgetown (March 20) and Louisville (April 9)...contributed six assists against Villanova (May 7).
2010: Cognigni started all 52 games for the Panthers...posted a career-high in plate appearances with 146...improved defensively, posting career-highs in putouts (80) and fielding percentage (.961)...had a career-high five putouts against Youngstown...also posted a career-best six plate appearances against Villanova...recorded two sacrifice hits against Fairfield (Feb. 27)...collected a team season-best with eight assists in the South Florida (April 21) contest...scored her first home run of the season against Seton Hall (April 24)...tallied the winning run against IPFW (March 7), Fordham (March 20) and St. John's (April 17)...drove in the winning run against Villanova (April 3) and Georgetown (April 10).
2009: Cognigni was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll during the second week of season, after she led the team with a .462 batting average...finished the season with the third-most doubles on the team (6)...hit her first home run of the season against Robert Morris...recorded three hits and one RBI and scored two runs against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi...her four putouts against Loyola (Ill.) was a career high...she finished the season with 57 putouts and was second in assists with 121.
High School: Cognigni led her team to a 90-11 four-year high school record...guided her team to four consecutive SOL Championships...recorded three District 1 Championships...won two state titles...named first team All-Area Trentonian and Courier Times...three-time Courier Times Golden team honoree...named a Courier Times honorable mention selection her freshman year...selected to the All-South Eastern Pa. first team.
