Getting to Know the Freshmen: Jordan Fannin

Jordan Fannin discusses softball and her transition to Pitt.

High School: A four-year starter at Pope John XXIII...four-time all-district selection and three-time all-state honoree...ranked among the top-10 in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) in virtually every category this year...ended her senior year with a 1.059 slugging percentage, .515 batting average, .593 on-base percentage, three homeruns, 41 runs, 36 RBI, 25 stolen bases and six doubles...earned all-district, all-state and District MVP honors after splitting her time between shortstop and centerfield as a junior...played tournament softball for the Houston Power...played in the [Class of] 2011 Adidas "Futures" All-Star Game as member of the Power...also an all-district selection in volleyball and soccer...four year letter in volleyball, three year letter in soccer, and one year letter in basketball...led her soccer team to the DIII State Championship in 2009 and was named second team all-district...carried a 3.3 GPA through high school.
