PITTSBURGH - For the eighth straight game and the fourth consecutive series, inclement weather has cancelled Pitt softball action as today's doubleheader with Ohio State will not be played.
With temperatures hovering in the mid 30's with a chance of snow, the ACC `Feels Like' rule would be in effect, and the frozen field would make for unsafe playing conditions.
This is the 11th game this season the Panthers have had cancelled. With warmer temperatures on the way this weekend, Pitt is set to host Virginia in ACC play. Saturday's doubleheader against the Cavaliers begins at 1 p.m., while the series finale on Sunday is scheduled for Noon.
