PITTSBURGH – The doubleheader between the University of Pittsburgh softball team and Notre Dame on April 20th has been chosen for a nationally televised broadcast which will air on ESPN3. First pitch at Vartabedian Field is set for 12 p.m.
This will be the second time this season Pitt will have appeared on ESPN3. In their first national broadcast, the Panthers put on a hitting display as they crushed Fordham 13-0 in five innings at the Citrus Classic in Orlando.
The Panthers have five games this week; starting with a midweek doubleheader against Penn State on Wednesday afternoon at Vartabedian Field (4 p.m.). Pitt will then travel to Seton Hall for a critical three-games series beginning on Saturday at Noon.
