Sills batted an amazing .857 in the three-game series at Rutgers

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman outfielder Ashlee Sills has earned her first career Big East Weekly Honor Roll recognition for batting .857 at Rutgers, as announced by league officials on Monday.
Sills was 6-for-7 at the dish, and added two runs and one walk. In the series opener, Sills was 3-for-3 and scored a run in Pitt’s 2-1 victory.
The Napa, Calif. native finished her freshman campaign by batting .222 with 16 hits, 11 runs and 12 walks.
Sills joins Tori Nirschl and Holly Stevens for those who earned Weekly Honor Roll distinctions throughout the season. Nirschl received the nod twice (3/4, 4/15), and Stevens once (2/25). Sills was also named to the Holiday Inn Hilltopper Classic All-Tournament Team back in February.
