FRESHMAN (2007-08):
Elizabeth Adams tied two others for third place on the most singles wins in a season (26)...ranks tied for fifth with the second-best number of single-season doubles victories (20)...won 46 matches in her rookie season...played consistently at the Panther's No. 3 slot...recorded a win over rival, West Virginia (6-1)(6-0)...teamed with Kristy Borz in No. 1 doubles and went on a 14-match winning streak in the spring...earned doubles wins at the Big East Championship against WVU (8-3) and Georgetown (8-2)...recorded a singles victory over Georgetown in the BEC.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Adams was a Berks County Player of the Year selection...named all-state, all-district and all-county during her career at Wilson High School...two-time district champion in 2004 and 2005...district runner-up as a senior...three-time state qualifier...finished fourth in states as a freshman...led her team to a county championship as a junior and to states as a freshman and sophomore...member of the 2003 district champions...inducted into the National Honor Society.
