Sabrina Visram's junior season ended early due to injury...she recorded 13 wins including seven in doubles and six in singles... competed at the No. 2 position...played her way to the semifinal round of the Eastern Collegiate Championship with a 9-7 win over Army alongside partner Christie D'Achille.
Visram continues to own the single-season record for highest singles wins percentage (.882)...played as the team's No. 2 singles player in the lineup...recorded a victory in the Big East Championship over West Virginia (6-3, 6-0)...gave Pitt the lead in the Georgetown match during the second round of the tournament with a 6-3, 6-2 victory...doubled with D'Achille for a shutout against Youngstown State (8-0)...the duo also gained a win in the Big East Tournament against Georgetown (9-8).
Tallied a 12-match win streak, the longest in Pitt history...battled back from a first set loss to win her first match as a Panther...teamed with Carlie Smith for three sweeps in doubles play during the spring... captured one of only three points scored by the Panthers with a singles win over West Virginia...continued her undefeated streak in singles with a comeback win against Cal-Riverside...recorded a 7-0 unbeaten streak in the spring with a near shutout (6-0, 6-1) over her Robert Morris opponent...extended her singles winning streak to nine with a shutout in her bout against Seton Hall...teamed with Kristy Borza at No. 1 singles for the first time and won the deciding match for the doubles point in the Villanova contest...lost the lead in the Villanova contest, but came back and posted a win at No. 3 singles to remain undefeated in singles play.
Visram was a four-year semi-state finals MVP at No. 1 singles...won the district championships all four years of high school...finished third in the state at No. 1 singles as a freshman...posted a 23-2 record as a senior and a 22-2 record as a junior...named the 2006 Female Athlete and Academic Scholar of the Year...ranked No. 180 in the nation at one time...also lettered in basketball.
