RALEIGH, N.C.--Two members of the Pitt women's tennis team earned wins in the consolation bracket, as the Panthers complete action in the Residence Inn North Wolfpack Invitational.

In Flight C singles, freshman Stephanie Scheinoff won the consolation bracket with a 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2) victory over Fabiana Gouveia.

Also winning a consolation bracket, sophomore Shannon Benic (Fox Chapel, Pa./Fox Chapel) won Flight D over ECU's Kristin Gordon with scores of 6-3, 7-5.

Freshman Elizabeth Adams (Reading, Pa./Wilson) dropped her match to Jasmine Smith, 7-6 (4), 7-5, in the finals Flight B.

The Panthers will travel to Hampton, Va. next, as they compete in the Hampton Roads Invitational from Oct. 12-14.
