PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh women’s tennis team travels to Carnegie Mellon on Wednesday, April 11 for a 4 p.m. match held at the CMU campus tennis courts.
The Panthers (9-7) earned a come-from-behind 4-3 win over Duquesne on Senior Day at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness Club last week. In the No. 4 spot, freshman Amanda Wickman secured the victory with her second three-set win of the season. Wickman is 13-10 in singles action and 15-4 in doubles.
Sophomore Taylor Washington leads Pitt with a 19-7 singles record, claiming a win in five of her last six matches. In doubles play, the No. 1 pairing of Washington and sophomore Jocelyn Lu have captured victories in their last two contests and are 10-8 on the year.
Carnegie Mellon is 13-3 after defeating one of its rivals Washington and Lee (5-4) on March 31.
