PROVIDENCE, R. I. – The University of Pittsburgh women’s tennis team (9-10, 2-3) has earned the No. 10 seed in the upcoming Big East Tournament and will face off with No. 7 Georgetown in the first round on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in Tampa, Fla.
The contest between the Panthers and the Hoyas is a rematch between the two teams, in which Georgetown came out victorious 5-2 on February 2nd in Pittsburgh. The Hoyas are 14-6 overall and 3-3 in conference.
No. 25 Notre Dame is the No. 1 overall seed, followed by No. 56 USF, Louisville and Syracuse. If the Panthers advance past Georgetown, they will play the winner of the USF vs. Villanova.
