PITTSBURGH--After opening the season with success, the Pitt women's tennis team resumes action this weekend in the Women's Eastern Collegiate Invitational, held at Army in West Point, N.Y. Play begins on Friday, Sept. 14 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 16.

The Panthers will compete against players from 30 different teams in an attempt to earn a national ranking.

Last year, junior Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) was the third seed in Flight A Singles, where she gave up just three points in her opening win over Providence's Niki Flach (6-1, 6-2). Later Borza dropped a 6-3, 6-4 match to then-No. 1 seeded Ames Daisy of Brown.
