PITTSBURGH--In its third tournament of the fall, Pitt's women tennis team resumes action this weekend in the Residence Inn North Wolfpack Invitational, held at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center in Raleigh, N.C. Play begins Friday, Sept. 21 and continues through Sunday, Sept. 23.

The Panthers will compete against players from 14 other schools including, North Carolina State, Campbell, East Carolina, Elon, Gardner-Webb, Howard, James Madison, Liberty, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington, University of South Carolina-Upstate, Army, West Virginia and Wofford.

The Panthers are coming off a successful Women's Eastern Collegiate Invitational performance last weekend, where junior Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) became the first-ever Panther to win the tournament.

Borza earned five consecutive wins on the weekend, placing first in the Flight A Singles out of 248 athletes. Additionally, freshman Elizabeth Adams (Reading, Pa./Wilson) advanced to the Flight C Championship match after posting four consecutive wins.
