PITTSBURGH - Seven Pitt tennis players have earned a right to compete in the USTA/ITA Regional Championship to be held Oct. 18-22 in Charlottesville, Va., on the campus of the University of Virginia.
Katherine Castro, Taylor Washington and Amanda Wickman will compete in singles, while the team of Jocelyn Lu and Washington, the team of Kimmy Borza and Audrey Ann Blakely and the team of Amanda Wickman and Molly Wickman will compete in doubles.
"We are very excited to be competing at the Regional tournament," said head coach Alex Santos. "We feel that we have been able to elevate our level of play tremendously since the beginning of the fall. We want to take confidence from that and make the most out of this last competition."
