BLACKSBURG, Va. – After winning its first round match against Penn State, the doubles tandem of Molly and Amanda Wickman were defeated by VCU in the round of 32 and were ultimately knocked out of the ITA Indoor Regionals hosted by Virginia Tech.
The Wickman’s defeated Penn State’s duo of Henderson/Sandor 8-5 in the first round of the tournament. However, Kritashvili/ Tertaec of VCU topped the Wickman pair 8-1 to eliminate the Pitt representatives.
In singles, Amanda Wickman won a game in the qualifying bracket, but failed to make the main draw. Molly Wickman was eliminated from the main draw after suffering a first round defeat to Raluca Mita of Virginia Tech, 6-2, 6-2.
