Feb. 6, 2010

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Pitt’s 4x200M relay places third in a two-day meet, as the University of Pittsburgh women’s track and field team competed in the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at the Armory Track and Field Center. No team scores were available.

In a competitive field where first and third-place were separated by just 22 hundredths of a second, the 4x200M relay combined for a finish of 1:38.82. The squad was made up of junior Da’Lynn Mills, sophomore Cambrya Jones, freshman Jonnique Lawrence and senior Kaetlyn Brown.

Individually, Jones and Mills recorded ECAC finished in the 60M dash, while freshman Ashley Woodford posted a Big East qualifying standard in the same event. Woodford also placed in the top 25 of the 200M dash.

In another ECAC performance, Brown posted a 56.94 finish in the 400M dash and senior Brianna Broyles turned in an 8.79 finish in the 60M hurdles.

However, just missing an ECAC mark in the 500M dash, sophomore Miya Johnson turned in a fifth-place performance with a time of 1:16.76.
