AUSTIN, Texas – Senior Elizabeth Kline scored the highest total of her career in the heptathlon and established three personal-records at the Texas Relays in a two day competition at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Kline compiled 5,110 points and finished 14th overall in the seven event competition. Her highest finish came in the 800 meter run as she placed fourth with a career-best time of 2:16.63.
The Pittsburgh native also had personal-bests in the shot put (11.90m – 39-00.50 feet), and the javelin (26.30m – 86-03 feet).
Along with the 800, Kline placed inside the top-10 in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.07.
Erica Bougard of Mississippi State won the women’s heptathlon with 5,649 points.
Kline will continue action tomorrow in the 100 meter hurdles, while the men also spring into competition as Josh Mindlin, Micah Murray, Carvin Nkanata, Olivier Philogene, Charles Ross and Brycen Spratling take the track.
