Pitt Track and Field Travels to In-State Rival This Weekend

PITTSBURGH—Resuming action this weekend, Pitt’s track and field team travels to Penn State for the PSU Northeast Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Prior to the holiday break, several women earned ECAC qualifying marks, including sophomore Cambrya Jones (60M and 200M sprints), freshman Rachel McIntosh (pentathlon, high jump), junior Da’Lynn Mills (60M dash) and freshmen Brittany Carroll, Elizabeth Kline and Jonnique Lawrence.

On the men’s side, junior Garrett Larkin and sophomore Dontave Cowsette each recorded an IC4A qualifying mark. Larkin recorded his in the shot put and weight throw events, while Cowsette achieved his in the 800 meter run.

The Panthers will compete against Albany, Colgate, Cornell, Delaware, Georgetown, Morgan State, Michigan, host Penn State, Penn, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. Francis (Pa.) and West Virginia at the meet.
