PITTSBURGH-For the third consecutive week, the University of Pittsburgh women’s track and field team will split the squad between two meets. The Panthers will compete at the 46th annual Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., and the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Sea Ray Relays, held at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium runs from April 11-14, while most of Pitt’s athletes will compete April 13-14. The Bison Outdoor Classic will take place April 14-15.

New to the Sea Ray Relays this year, the Sea Ray Showcase will feature only the top heats in nine different events on Saturday.

Panthers competing in the Sea Ray Showcase include freshman Taylor Ellis-Watson in the 200 and 400-meter dashes, senior Cambrya Jones in the 200-meter dash and the 400 and 1600-meter relay teams.

The Panthers are coming off a record-breaking weekend at the Pepsi Florida Relays and the Colonial Relays. At the Florida Relays, Jones eclipsed Kimberly Lyles previous school record in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish at 23.10.

In the same meet, sophomore Jordan Hoyt, juniors Ashley Woodford and Arielle Fonrose and Jones combined for a seventh place finish in the 400-meter relay event (44.90). Pitt currently holds the top time in the Big East.

Last year at the Sea Ray Relays, Jones finished eighth in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 24.08.
