AS A JUNIOR (2005)
Azadeh Boroumand played in 19 matches during the 2005 season and started in 10 as a setter for the Panthers...ranked second on the team with 498 assists, including a season-best 58 in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament against Syracuse (Nov. 11)...posted 12 digs against Florida State (Sept. 3) for her only double-double of the season...had six kills with one error, in nine attempts against Duquesne (Sept. 6) for a .556 hitting percentage, and added 44 assists, eight digs and a season-best four blocks versus the Dukes...added four kills in six attempts (.667) against Maryland (Sept. 9)...came off the bench to record four kills, 36 assists, four digs and three blocks in the loss to No. 6 Louisville (Oct. 22)...matched a career high with eight kills against No. 24 Long Beach State (Nov. 25)...made the most of her attacks, converting on 51 kills with just 16 errors in 104 attempts for a team-best .337 hitting percentage.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2004)
Boroumand played in 31 matches and recorded 1,336 assists...finished the season ranked 47th nationally and first in the Big East with 12.6 assists per game...had a career high 68 assists to go along with 11 digs against St. John's (Oct. 8)...Set career highs in kills, digs, blocks, aces and assists...Boroumand's 1,336 assists were the most by a Panthers sophomore since Carrie Norris in 2000...moved into seventh place on the school's career assists list with 1,436...had 40 or more assists in 21 of the team's 32 matches...had a career and season high 19 digs in a loss against Dayton (Sept. 25)...was named to the Pitt Classic All-Tournament Team.

AS A FRESHMAN (2003)
Boroumand provided solid depth at the setter position in her first season with the Panthers and should compete for the starting job as a sophomore...played in 12 matches and had a total of 100 assists to rank second on the team...also chipped in four kills, nine digs and three blocks in 24 games...had her best effort of the season at Miami on Nov. 2, recording two kills in five attempts for a .400 clip, 54 assists and four digs in Pittsburgh's victory...also had 12 assists versus West Virginia (Nov. 7) and 14 against Oregon State (Nov. 28)...had a kill in her only attempt and three assists in the NCAA Second Round match versus Penn State (Dec. 6).

HIGH SCHOOL
Boroumand was a three-year starting setter for Thurber High...led Thurber to the 2001 and 2002 Alberta Province Championship titles...named the 2002 postseason tournament Most Valuable Player and also earned Alberta Province All-Star honors...also a member of the Red Deer Queens Volleyball Club since 1997...helped the Queens to the 2001 Western Canada title and this past year was the starting setter for the No. 1-ranked team in Alberta and Western Canada...also competed in basketball and track while at Thurber High.
