AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Ashley Creighton played in 16 matches as a freshman...totaled 13 of her 43 kills in three matches at the Pittsburgh Invitational...had a season-best four blocks in the win against Southern Illinois...posted a career high of six kills three times (Sept. 4 vs. Howard, Nov. 14 vs. Syracuse and Nov. 27 vs. Tennessee)...tied her season high in blocks with four against the Orange on Nov. 14...had a season best .800 hitting percentage against Southern Illinois (four kills in five attempts).
Creighton played for Crocus Plains High School in Brandon, Manitoba, a city two hours west of Winnipeg...led her team to the provincial title in 2002 with a 55-10 record...as a senior, Creighton led Crocus Plains to a 58-6 mark and a third-place finish at the Canadian Provincial Championships...was named the most valuable player at five different tournaments in her senior year and an all-star in the other three her team participated in...named to the All-Manitoba Team and voted as the No. 1 player in the province by the Winnipeg Sun...set school records at Crocus Plains for kills in a season (501) and service aces in a season (110)...played her club volleyball for the two-time provincial champion Tri-Star Storm, leading them to a No. 2 ranking in Canada...also played for Manitoba for three seasons in the National Team Challenge Cup and the Western Canada Summer Games.
Born August 1, 1986...played for Team Manitoba in the Canada Summer Games this summer and helped the team to a second-place finish...an undeclared major.
